Directions

To Oreti from the south.

• Follow SH1 across the Desert Road about 50kms ( Snow covered mountains should be on your left.)


• You will start to hit the Turangi township with a small industrial area on your left.


• On the left about 200 metres is SH41 to Taumarunui TURN LEFT HERE.


• Stay on SH41 and go straight along (approx) as follows-4 Kms over bridge -power station on left. 3 kms Aotearoa Hotel & Shell station on left 3 kms up Waihi hill. Steam vents on left hand side. 3 Kms PUKAWA road on right. ( Not the Pukawa Vineyard)


• TURN RIGHT into the Pukawa Road (1 km down this road is the Oreti Gate and signs.


• Turn right into this road and office is 100 metres.

Total from Turangi about 14kms.
Have a safe trip.

NOTE:
There is only a small store out here so you may wish to pick up supplies in Turangi on your way through. In this case turn into SH41 and 100 metres on right is the Anglers Paradise Motel. Turn right here and the town centre is about 500 metres.

To Oreti from the North

• Follow SH1 South through Hamilton to Lake Taupo
• After about 3.5 hours you will go through Taupo Township.
• Follow SH1 around the side of the lake and about 50kms to Turangi Township.
• Just as you enter the Turangi Township you will go over the Tongariro River Bridge. On the right about 200 metres is a Shell petrol station & Burger King. Another 200 metres and SH41 to Taumarunui TURN RIGHT HERE.
• Stay on SH41 and go straight along (approx) as follows-4 Kms over bridge -power station on left.3 kms Aotearoa Hotel & Shell station on left3 kms up Waihi hill. Steam vents on left hand side.3 Kms PUKAWA road on right. ( Not the Pukawa Vineyard)
• TURN RIGHT into the Pukawa Road (1 km down this road is the Oreti Gate and signs.
• Turn right into this road and office is 100 metres.

Total from Turangi about 14kms.
